Woman Bombarded With Chewbacca Roar Calls After Angry Ex Shares Her Phone Number

An Australian woman has been bombarded with prank phone calls with people roaring like Chewbacca after her bitter ex posted her phone number on a public flyer. Jessica, from Cairns in North Queensland, said her ex was clearly trying to get revenge on her after she dumped him following their three-year relationship and describes the move as “the most childish breakup I’ve ever had.”

  1. This is the height of pettiness. Jessica’s ex posted a flyer advertising the chance to win $100 for the best Chewbacca impersonation. All they had to do was call the number listed and roar like the classic Star Wars character to be in with a shot. Of course, the number listed was Jessica’s, and she had no idea what was happening at first.
  2. Jessica is being absolutely bombarded by calls. “All he had to do was say ‘I don’t love you anymore, I wanna move on,” Jessica said of her ex. “I’m getting phone calls at really strange hours of the night about one o’clock to about four o’clock, eh,” she told 9News. I thought it was quite funny actually, I thought it was a good joke.” However, she’s getting sick of the calls coming in at late hours, waking up her kids.
  3. That’s not the only crappy move her ex has made. The Chewbacca calls were the least of Jessica’s ex’s petty actions. He also removed the tires of his own car and left it in her driveway in order to block her in, leading her to get the authorities involved. “The police got in contact with me and finally they’re going to do something about it,” she said.
  4. As stupid as this is, it is pretty hilarious. You have to admit that while it’s incredibly immature and petty to have people call your ex to do Chewbacca impersonations, it’s also really funny. Even Jessica saw the hilarious side to it at first. I don’t recommend doing this by any means, but I can at least laugh because it’s not me getting the calls!
