Woman Chopped Up Husband In Front Of Son And Kept His Organs In The Fridge

A Russian woman allegedly killed her rapper husband before cutting up his body in front of the couple’s 2-year-old son and storing his body parts in the refrigerator. Marina Kukha, from St. Petersburg in Russia, is accused of murdering 30-year-old Andy Cartwright, which she denies, but she does admit to cutting up his body.

  1. Marina Kukha claims her husband died of a drug overdose. She described Cartwright’s death as “inglorious” and said she didn’t want his fans to know what happened. How chopping him up was going to keep fans from knowing that he was dead was never explained.
  2. Her methods were pretty bleak. Kukha told authorities that she used a  knife, hammer, hacksaw, plastic bowl, and chopping board to cut up Cartwright’s body and that it took her four days to do so. She is said to have kept his organs in black bags in the washing machine and limbs and other body parts in the fridge.
  3. Police are now investigating the murder of Cartwright, born Alexander Yushko. As part of the investigation, authorities took Marina Kukha into custody and issued a polygraph test. She told officers that she found her husband dead with a syringe next to his body and that he had developed a drug problem during lockdown. However, she had thoroughly cleaned their apartment before police arrived.
  4. There were suggestions that Kukha’s mother was involved. However, Kukha’s lawyer Irina Skurtu denied those accusations as well as ones that Kukha put her husband’s body parts in the washing machine. Skurtu was the one who encouraged her client to go to the police to admit dismembering Cartwright.
  5. There were reportedly no drugs found on Cartwright’s body. Which is odd since, if he had a major drug problem and died of an overdose, surely there would be some sign of that? But according to newspaper Komsomolskaya Pravda, that wasn’t the case.
