Woman Claims To Have Paid $20,000 For Third Boob So She’d Be Unattractive To Men

A 21-year-old Florida woman claims she spent $20,000 to have a third breast surgically attached to her chest in order to make herself less attractive to men and to become a star. Jasmine Tridevil, from Tampa, said she’s desperate to become a celebrity and leave dating behind forever, and an extra boob seemed to be the way to do it. However, like most outrageous stories, not all is as it seems.

  1. Tridevil says she went to more than 50 doctors before finding one who would do it. As you can imagine, most surgeons who take their profession seriously wouldn’t be too keen to attach an extra appendage to a patient’s body, which is why, New York magazine reports, Tridevil had to visit more than 50 until she found one who would. The surgery was said to have involved taking skin tissue from her abdomen and then adding silicone to the implant.
  2. She claims she saved up for two years for the operation. Any elective surgery – hell, any surgery at all – doesn’t come cheap, and it took Tridevil two years to squirrel away the cash for her third breast and to hire a film crew to follow her around after she had the surgery.
  3. The details about the whole thing were pretty sparse to begin with. Tridevil claimed she had to sign an NDA that forbids her from revealing which surgeon performed the procedure, which is weird enough on its own. Also, her reasons for doing this in the first place seemed to change depending on who she was talking to. First it was about getting famous and booking an MTV show, then it was about repelling men. “I got it because I wanted to make myself unattractive to men,” she said on a radio broadcast. “Because I don’t want to date anymore.” Okay, or you could just… not date?
  4. As you can probably imagine, the whole thing seems to be a hoax. Tridevil hasn’t come out and admitted that’s the case, but the truth came out after her bag was stolen at Tampa International Airport from a luggage conveyor. While the bag was eventually found, a report filed on Tridevil’s behalf listed its contents as including a hairbrush, stiletto heels, clothing, and a “3-breast prosthesis.” Alas, the weirdest stories are often the ones that most reek of BS.
