Woman Crashes Into House After Praying With Eyes Closed While Driving

A Florida woman was cited by police for reckless driving after she crashed into a house because she was praying with her eyes closed while behind the wheel. The incident, which happened in Mary Esther, involved a 28-year-old woman who fully admitted to the Okaloosa County Sheriff’s Office that she was in communion with God and wasn’t bothering to pay attention to the road ahead of her, according to nfwdailynews.com.

  1. Who prays while on the road? While there’s certainly nothing wrong with prayer, doing so with your eyes closed while you’re behind the wheel of a motor vehicle isn’t just reckless, it’s downright stupid. However, the unnamed driver didn’t seem to think there was anything wrong with it.
  2. Someone could have been seriously hurt. Not only did the woman crash into the house, she failed to stop at a stop sign before blasting through an intersection and straight into the yard of a home on Mirimar Drive. Thankfully, no one in the house was injured.
  3. She would have driven away if she could have. Despite the fact that she just drove into someone’s house, she still tried to back up and drive away. However, the car had become stuck in the sand, preventing her from doing so.
  4. The woman was cited for reckless driving and property damage. No word on whether or not she’ll face any kind of punishment for her crime, but at the very least, her license should be taken away!
