Woman Shocked To Find Squirrel Holding A Knife In Her Back Yard

While squirrels are a pretty common sight for many of us when out walking in the park or even looking out the window onto our own property, you never really expect to see one of the animals armed and dangerous. However, that’s exactly what happened to one Toronto woman who looked out into her back yard only to find a squirrel wielding a knife.

  1. This is pretty scary! Andrea Diamond, who lives in the Rosedale area of the city, shared a video of the squirrel in question on Twitter, captioning the clip, “So apparently knife-wielding squirrels are a thing now.” It’s pretty hilarious when you’re in the safety of your own home, and it’s unlikely that the squirrel could stab you, but still, it’s pretty frightening!
  2. What if the squirrel had cut itself? More than being dangerous to anyone else, a squirrel doesn’t understand the concept of a knife being sharp and could easily have cut itself and been seriously injured. Thankfully, that didn’t happen and the squirrel was safe!
  3. It eventually lost interest in the knife. According to Diamond, the squirrel gnawed on the handle of the knife for a while before eventually losing interest in it and dropping it, leaving it behind. It likely realized that the knife wasn’t edible and served no purpose so decided to leave it behind. Whew!
  4. Fewer knife-wielding animals, please! Seriously, I just might be nightmares about this for weeks! Just stay cute and fluffy and totally harmless, please.
