Woman Accused of Posing As A Photographer To Drug A New Mom And Steal Her Baby Pierce County Sheriff's Department

A 38-year-old Washington woman has been arrested after allegedly giving a new mom a cupcake laced with drugs in a plot to steal her baby. Juliette Parker and her 16-year-old daughter were picked up by the Pierce County Sheriff’s Department at their home in Spanway on Valentine’s Day after a lucky miss for the victim.

  1. Parker was posing online as a newborn photographer. She used Facebook to post on newborn groups, offering her services as a newborn photographer for free in order to ‘build her portfolio.’ It was there that she met the unnamed victim, who invited Parker into her home three times in total to take pictures of the baby. It was the last occasion when things went terribly wrong.
  2. The mom called emergency services on February 5. She told responders that she had been vomiting and had become numb and drowsy after eating a cupcake offered to her by Parker and Parker’s teenage daughter during their last visit. After she received medical treatment, she reported the incident to police. She even told them that she’d seen Parker taking selfies with the baby and wiping her fingerprints off of items she’d touched in the house.
  3. Parker even stole the mom’s house keys during the visit. The victim realized this after the incident and police launched an investigation. The mom also got new locks and window guards thanks to donations from the community.
  4. It wasn’t long before the police uncovered Parker’s plot. After conducting a “tireless” investigation, interviewing various people of interest and using search warrants to look for evidence, they eventually “garnered evidence that indicate[s] that the suspect was planning to steal a newborn baby to raise as her own,” the police department revealed in a Facebook post.
  5. Parker was arrested on several felony charges. According to KLXY, Parker was charged with assault in the 2nd degree and attempted kidnapping and booked into the Pierce County Jail. However, she soon posted $50,000 bail and was released on February 16 pending a court date.
  6. Police believe there are further victims out there. They urge anyone who’s had contact with Parker, who has also gone by “Juliette Gains” and “Juliette Noel” to contact them on 253-798-7724.
