Woman Reveals ‘Extremely Rare’ Extra Long Big Toe

No one body is exactly the same, but even a doctor had to admit that he’d never seen a big toe quite as long as one woman’s on TLC’s My Feet Are Killing Me. While appearing on the show, Anna Tantillo told foot and ankle surgeon Dr. Brad Schaeffer that the toe “hurts really bad” and that she’d come on as a “last option” to finally do something to get it fixed.

  1. Unsurprisingly, a toe this long can cause serious problems. Dr. Schaeffer told Anna that it’s good that she’s getting the toe taken care of now, as the longer it’s left, the more problems it could cause her. “When you have a foot where your toe is, like, double the size that jamming in a shoe, every step you take – that’s going to cause arthritis, that’s going to create jamming of the joints, and it’s going to cause pain every step,” the doctor said.
  2. He’d never seen anything like it before. “Her toe kind of pops right out at you… I’ve personally never seen a patient that has this long of a big toe. It’s extremely rare,” Dr. Schaeffer told her. The clip from the show, which aired earlier this year, recently went viral again on TikTok in the past few weeks, and for good reason.
  3. Extremely long appendages aren’t necessarily rare. After all, just last month, a 16-year-old girl went viral for her extra-long middle finger, with commenters fascinated by just how long it really was. It doesn’t cause her any issues and she won’t be doing anything about it, but it’s still funny to see. Thankfully, the girl, Olivia, feels totally confident in her body and isn’t bothered by it at all.
  4. Here’s hoping Anna was able to find some help. I haven’t actually seen the whole episode yet, but I hope Anna found some relief for the pain!
