A 22-year-old woman has gone viral after posting a mirror selfie in which her boyfriend Henry could be seen in the background wiping his bum on the toilet. Shannon, from Gloucestershire in England, admitted that she left the picture up on Instagram for 30 minutes before realizing her mistake, at which point she took it over to Twitter to make people laugh.

- It seems crazy she didn’t notice it sooner, right? However, Shannon said it wasn’t until after it was already live on Instagram that she and her friend realized that something wasn’t quite right. “I was with my friend and we both immediately started crying laughing [when we noticed it] and I was like omg I need to delete it,” she told UNILAD. “Then I mentioned it in the group chat and my friend was like you have to put that on Twitter, it will be hilarious.”
- Henry didn’t mind his hiney being on display. It’s easy to see why, as well, since the photo has gotten Shannon more than 130k likes and 9.4k retweets since she posted it on May 26. It looks like she accomplished her goal of putting a smile on people’s faces!
- Why was Shannon even in the bathroom while Henry was using the toilet? Allow her to explain! “I was in [the bathroom] first and he came in and I was like, ‘Babe I’m taking a picture,’ and he just carried on so, I just took the picture without thinking anything of it and left,” she recalled. “I didn’t even upload the picture straight away; I left it a few days and thought, ‘Ahh, that’s a nice photo, I’ll put it on’ without even realizing he was in the background.” Oops!
- Of course, there are a few questions here… The first one being who wipes their bum standing up? That seems unnecessarily difficult and potentially messy. There’s also the fact that you can’t see any toilet paper in Henry’s hand, so hopefully that’s just not visible in the picture.
- Is it possible this pic is a fake? Like all things on social media, you have to take it with a grain of salt. Plenty of people have done stuff like this for the sole purpose of going viral, so it wouldn’t surprise me at all if this was a set-up and Henry just got his buns outs for the purpose of the photograph and wasn’t using the toilet at all. However, if it’s true, it’s so hilarious that I just want to believe!
