Woman Shoots Boyfriend In Face After He Tried To Teach Her How To Use Gun Lucas County Detention Center

An Ohio woman accidentally shot her boyfriend in the face after he tried to teach her how to use a gun. Christopher Antron Scott Jr., 30, was said to be trying to teach 36-year-old Anna Sigarroa how to use the handgun when a fight erupted between the pair and the gun went off, WVLT reports.

Lucas County Detention Center

  1. Sigarroa’s defense does seem a little shady. According to her statement to police, she recently bought the gun but didn’t want Scott around the weapon because he had a prior felony conviction and was banned from having guns. However, he refused and a struggle ensued.
  2. Sigarroa tried to get the gun away from Scott. However, he fought hard to keep hold of the weapon, which led to the gun going off and shooting Scott in the mouth.
  3. Scott had to drive himself to the hospital. While his injuries were serious, they weren’t fatal and Scott was able to get in his car and drive himself to a Toledo hospital for treatment. He must have told hospital staff what happened because Sigarroa was arrested soon after.
  4. Sigarroa was charged with felonious assault. She was booked into Lucas County Jail over the March 4 incident. It’s unclear how she intends to plea or when she’s due back in court.
