You Can Work Out While Stuck At Home With These Virtual Fitness Classes

If you’re anything like me, you’ve probably already worked your way through a good portion of your quarantine snacks. However, just because you’re stuck at home and can’t make it to the gym doesn’t mean you should let your fitness fall by the wayside. Staying healthy and in shape is as important as ever, so with that in mind, why not check out some of these virtual fitness classes you can do right from the comfort of your home?

  1. Planet Fitness You don’t have to be a member of a brick and mortar location to access Planet Fitness’ online exercise classes. They’re offering daily workouts at 7 p.m. EST live on their Facebook page, all of which are then archived for those who can’t make it to the sessions as they air.
  2. Barry’s Bootcamp If you’ve never tried an actual Barry’s Bootcamp session, be prepared to have your butt whooped. The HIIT bootcamp classes are airing on the company’s Instagram page for 20 minutes twice a day. Have a towel handy because you’re going to be sweaty!
  3. Peloton I’m a spin addict so getting a Peloton bike one day is a total dream when I can afford it. However, their on-demand app doesn’t require their equipment to get a workout on. In fact, there are plenty of running, strength training, toning, and weight workouts to get you in shape. Best of all, they’re offering a 90-day free trial, which should get us through these tough times.
  4. Pure Barre It’s all about lifting and toning with Pure Barre, and while their fitness studios are closed, they’re taking their workouts online to their Facebook page. Check the Events page to find out when the next live session is scheduled.
  5. CorePower Yoga If doing high intensity workouts isn’t really your style, you can get free access to CorePower Yoga’s online classes so you can enjoy something a bit more relaxing. They’ll also be doing live sessions, but those are reserved for members.
  6. ClassPass Gyms and fitness studios may be closed, but ClassPass is dedicated to keeping us all fit and healthy. That’s why, even if you’re not a member, you can still access their extensive library of workout videos in everything from yoga and abs to barre and HIIT. Best of all, it’s all completely free!
  7. 24 Hour Fitness Again, you don’t need to have a membership of the gym to access more than 1,500 free virtual workouts via the 24 Hour Fitness 2Go app available via the iTunes or Google Play store. Not only does it include personalized fitness plans but goal tracking and workout scheduling too.
