Doing Yoga With Alpacas On A Farm In England Needs To Be Your Next Vacation

Beach vacations and city getaways are fun, but if you’re getting a bit bored of the status quo and want to try something different, you might be interested to know that there’s a farm you can visit in England that holds outdoor yoga classes in a field full of alpacas. Yep, it’s a real thing.

  1. Rosebud Alpacas is the ultimate getaway. The farm is owned by Nick and Lucy Aylett, who hope that the place can be “a sanctuary for people to come and feel at home.” They have a heard of “quality elite huacaya alpacas” on their farm in North Devon in southern England.
  2. The Ayletts truly care about their herd. Their alpacas are registered with the British Alpaca Society and they’re cared for with love and compassion. As they explain on their Facebook page, “The welfare of our animals is important to us and all are raised ethically with free choice, our hens [roam free] within the alpaca herd and our sheep roam the land outside the paddocks.”
  3. But what about the yoga? Yoga is held in the field where the alpacas roam and is said to be a calm environment for both humans and the animals. Not only will you enjoy some amazing yoga, but you have the beauty of the North Devon scenery around you. In other words, it sounds like a beautiful thing.
  4. Who can’t use a little getaway? Life is hectic. We’re constantly “on,” hooked up to technology 24/7, whether it’s our phones, computers, tablets, etc. When was the last time you truly took time to sit down in an open field and just enjoy the quiet without emails and social media? When was the last time you connected to nature and just listened to the sounds of the world around you? A visit to Rosebud Alpacas will allow you to do that.
  5. It’s not just yoga they offer. If you want to have a more up-close and personal experience with the alpacas, Rosebud offers everything from alpaca walks, alpaca picnics, and even an “alpaca connection” package that includes meditation and some mindful observation of the animals. Sounds pretty sweet, right?
