Zach Braff Says A ‘Scrubs’ Reunion Movie Is Happening And I Can’t Wait NBC

Scrubs is, without a doubt, one of the most underrated sitcoms ever on TV. Each season was consistently funny, and while much of the humor was corny and borderline ridiculous, that’s what made it so charming. I fondly remember bingeing dozens of episodes with my college roommate and laughing like crazy, so I’ll always have a soft spot for it in my heart. That’s why I got so excited when Zach Braff said that he thinks a Scrubs reunion movie will be happening in the near future.

  1. Braff is pretty sure everyone wants a Scrubs reunion and he’s not wrong. Talking about the possibility with former co-star Donald Faison on the podcast Fake Doctors, Real Friends, Braff said he believes that fans of the show would welcome the opportunity to reunite with JD, Turk, Carla, Elliot, Dr. Cox, and everyone else, and he’s got a point. I would love it!
  2. Psych got a reunion, so why not Scrubs? Both were NBC Universal properties and frankly, I think Scrubs was way better. “We talk about that [a reunion] because I point to Psych, who’s now made two successful films. It would be fun,” Braff explained. “I think it would be fun for us to all do something like that. We just have to get Disney to be into it and Bill Lawrence to be into it. I think it will happen; the fans seem to really want it to happen.”
  3. A whole new season of Scrubs would be great but don’t hold your breath. While loads of beloved series are getting reboots, that’s unlikely to happen with Scrubs since most of the cast is really busy working on other projects now so it would be impossible to pull everyone together. “Before this whole pandemic thing happened, everybody was working on something. I was doing Emergence and Sarah Chalke was doing something else,” Braff said in an interview with The Daily Express. “And to say that we can do a series again, that would be really difficult but maybe a movie, maybe something like that, that’s possible.”
  4. Come on, people, let’s make this happen! If tons of other shows that weren’t even that good can have a reunion, Scrubs deserves one. Chop chop, Hollywood!
