Lizzo is known for promoting body positivity and being vocal about her love for the way she looks. The more people have criticized her size, the louder she tells everyone to basically f*** off (as she should). However, she took to TikTok this week to call out “delusional” fans who won’t stop talking about her body in both good ways and bad.

- People say contradicting things about Lizzo’s body. In her video, the 34-year-old says some people tell her she’s “so big” while others claim she’s “so little.” She sums it up with a single sentence: “The discourse around bodies is officially tired.”
- Why do people feel the need to comment on other people’s bodies? Yes, she’s a public figure, but that doesn’t mean she’s not still a person. Lizzo expresses her frustration in the video, saying: “I have seen comments go from, ‘Oh my gosh, I liked you when you were thick. Why’d you lose weight?’ to ‘Oh my gosh, why’d you get a BBL? I liked your body before.’ to ‘Oh my gosh, you’re so big! You need to lose weight—but for your health!’ to ‘Oh my gosh, you’re so little you need to get a** or t**ties or something,’ to ‘Oh my gosh, why did she get all that work done? It’s just too much work.’ Are we okay? Do you see the delusion?”
- Lizzo’s body is not up for discussion and it’s not what she’s all about. In fact, her sole purpose is to make art that is meaningful to herself and others, not to be fodder for a discourse on weight and health. “This body? Is art. And I’m going to do whatever I want with this body,” she adds.
- She wishes it cost money to post comments online. If that were the case, she said, far less would be said, particularly when it comes to those leaving hateful comments. “I wish that comments costed y’all money. So we could see how much time we’re f**king wasting on the wrong thing,” she says.
