Adele is a global megastar who’s achieved incredible things in her life. However, she still gets star-struck just like the rest of us. As it turns out, Adele has always wanted to meet Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson, and at the 2023 Grammys, her dream finally came true.
Both Adele and The Rock were present at the 65th Annual Grammy Awards in Los Angeles on Sunday, February 5, and host Trevor Noah decided to bring them together. Noah waltzed over to the table where Adele was sitting with her boyfriend Rich Paul, and that’s where the fun began.
“The person Adele has always wanted to meet but never has is Dwayne Johnson,” Noah said. “And then I found out he’s a huge fan of yours too. I don’t have Dwayne Johnson here tonight but I do have someone called The Rock.”

The Rock then came over to the table to give Adele a big hug, and both of them looked genuinely overjoyed to be meeting each other. People on social media loved the sweet moment, with one person writing: “Aww, omg he is just the most sweetest kindest hearted guy u can meet and like.” Another added, “The best moment so far.”
Lest we forget, Adele told NikkieTutorials back in 2021 that The Rock was the one celeb she was desperate to meet. “Someone I’ve never met that I think I would actually cry is The Rock, but I know he goes by Dwayne Johnson now,” she said at the time. “I was the biggest wrestling fan when I was younger.”
The pair were actually supposed to meet at one of the singer’s LA concerts, but The Rock had to pull out at the last minute. He sent flowers instead. “He’s amazing. He’s just incredible. I just want him to be my mate. I want him to be my friend,” Adele gushed. Dreams really do come true!
