Man Slammed Online For Claiming Skinned Knees Hurt Worse Than Period Cramps

A man on Twitter has been slammed for claiming that skinned knees hurt worse than period cramps. The unnamed man, who goes by the username @SGeezy_, uploaded photos of a soccer player sliding on the ground and scraped knees along with the caption “Until women experience this, I don’t want to hear about period pains.” Needless to say, people were not feeling it.

  1. Women took the most offense to his comment. While the man’s tweet garnered more than 22,000 likes, it also got loads of backlash from women who had to call him out on his crap. After all, as a man without a uterus, he’s never had a period or experienced cramps of any degree, so he has no real comparison. That alone invalidates everything he says. In fact, many women who were into sports came forward saying they’d experienced both and period cramps definitely hurt more.
  2. No seriously, this is BS. “When I played soccer I dislocated my shoulder, broke my ankle, and scarred my knees multiple times, and still finished the game all times. Periods still take me out of commission with their pain,” one woman responded to the man’s tweet, according to The Sun. Another said: “Cool story bro. Did the pain you experienced from those scraped knees make you feel like you were going to pass out? Did you feel lightheaded? Cold sweats? Was the pain so bad that you couldn’t bear to move? Because if not, I don’t want to hear you compare it to period pain.”
  3. Lest we forget, period cramps REALLY hurt. Only recently, doctors have confirmed that period cramps can be as painful as a heart attack. Aside from taking a couple of Advil and using a hot water bottle, both of which can be totally ineffective depending on how severe the cramps are, there’s nothing women can do about this every single month. How is this anything like a skinned knee?
  4. Can we all agree that men shouldn’t have an opinion on this? If you don’t have a uterus or a female reproductive system, you don’t get to have an opinion on this topic. Deal?
