Hi! For as long as I can remember, words have been so important to me. Using them to portray a topic, tell a story, describe a person and so much more has given me the gift of connection. It is through writing that I became acquainted with foreign cultures, forged meaningful relationships and overall, dug deeper into topics that were relevant in some way.
As a high school student, I fell in love with the creativity of the written word, and going onto university I wanted to discover what more I could use my words for. Majoring in media communications, I learned the core values of what it means to be a good journalist. Fairness, humanity, accountability, independence, truth… these are all concepts that have not only gotten me through my experiences in writing, they have also guided my everyday life.
My journey has taken some interesting twists and turns, and for a while I deviated from writing as a career. The love I have for it, however, persists and I look forward to continuing to learn, grow and accomplish as a writer.
