Bradley Cooper Still Lives With His Mom For The Sweetest Reason

Bradley Cooper is 48 years old, so it seems pretty safe to assume that he has his own place, but that’s not the case — he actually still lives with his mom. And while that may sound weird, the reason they still share a home is actually really sweet.

Cooper’s dad, Charles, was diagnosed with lung cancer back in 2011. In order to spend more time with his family and help his mom out, he Bradley Cooper moved back in with his mom and dad at the time. He has said he did “everything in his power” to help his father. Sadly, Charles died only five months later.

More than 12 years later, Cooper and his mom, Gloria Campano, still “need each other,” which is why they still live together. Campano was devastated to have lost her long-term partner, but having her son there softens the blow just slightly.

“Right now, two years after my father’s death, this is where we are. My family is very close, and my dad dying was brutal for all of us. It was a schism, and its aftershock has not stopped,” Bradley told the Los Angeles Times in 2013. “And we need each other. So here we are. But don’t get me wrong. It’s not without complications. It’s not like I live in a compound and she’s in the guesthouse. No. She’s in the next room.”

However, Bradley Cooper isn’t simply doing his mom a favor by living with her. They get along really well and have a close relationship.

“But here’s the thing: She’s a cool chick. We can hang, and she can roll with the punches. If that wasn’t the case, there’s no way,” he added.

Bradley Cooper and his mom are so close, they even did a T-Mobile commercial together for Super Bowl LVII. You can watch that below.
