Burger King Manager Arrested For Serving Customers Fries From Trash Can

An assistant manager at a Burger King location in Union, South Carolina is under arrest after she allegedly served french fries from the trash can to two female customers, sparking a major fight. Jaime Christine Major, 39, was charged with malicious tampering with food for adding the trashed fries into the container where freshly cooked ones were kept while waiting to be served.

Customers Shantel Elizabeth Harris and Ivory Lakeisha Muhammad saw Major’s stunt in action on July 9 and kicked off and started cursing out staff members and threatening them, creating such a scene that the Union Police Department had to be called out. Major’s boss was the one who called 911 to report customers “arguing with staff at the location,” per a police report obtained by the Daily Mail.

Harris and Muhammad were ultimately cuffed and booked at Union County Jail, but it soon became clear they were victims too. After Jaime Christine Major’s fries antics came to light thanks to Burger King HQ’s alert to the police, she was arrested on July 11.

Burger King told Fox Business that serving customers fries from the trash “does not align with the brand’s commitment to quality food” and that the branch in question would help the investigation in any way.

Major was booked at the Union County Detention Center with a bond of $20,000. Conviction could potentially earn her life in prison s well as serious financial penalties under the Federal Anti-Tampering act, though it’s unlikely she’ll spend much time behind bars, I wouldn’t say.

Nevertheless, this is yet another reason we should all be cooking more of our own food and not eating junk like this. While arrests at fast food restaurants for disgusting behavior like this aren’t all that common, I don’t imagine the behavior is all that rare. Or rather, it wouldn’t surprise me if I heard it was happening more, anyway!
