‘Cannibal’ Math Teacher Accused Of Murdering And Eating Man He Met On Dating Site

A German math teacher allegedly killed and ate a man he met on a dating site, according to police. The teacher, named only as Stefan R., is suspected of murdering 44-year-old Stefan Trogisch and consuming his remains after sniffer dogs led authorities to Stefan R’s apartment, Bild reports. There, they found overwhelming evidence that Stefan R. was responsible for the missing man’s death.

  1. The men met on a dating website. Stefan Trogisch was said to have had a history of using the dating app in question to meet met and women previously. Police discovered messages between the suspect and victim leading up to the murder.
  2. Stefan Trogisch was reported missing by his roommates. There seemed to be no trace of him, but then human leg bones with the flesh removed were found in a Berlin park and two different canine dogs followed a trail right to Stefan R.’s apartment.
  3. The evidence at Stefan R.’s apartment was overwhelming. Not only did the 41-year-old search for cannibalism-related content on the internet and whether or not a man could survive having his genitals cut off, but police also found a bone saw with human blood on it as well as cleaning supplies in Stefan R.’s apartment. The suspect claimed he used the chemicals to make soap.
  4. The blood was found to be Stefan Trogisch’s. According to Berliner Morgenpost, forensic tests proved that blood found in Stefan R.’s apartment belonged to the victim. The bones found in the park also belonged to Trogisch, police confirmed.
  5. Police believe Stefan R. ate his victim. “The suspect had an interest in cannibalism,” said prosecutors’ office spokesman Martin Steltner. “He searched online for the topic.” A spokesman for local police added: “Because of the completely fleshless bone, and other evidence, we strongly suspect that Stefan T was the victim of a cannibal.”
