Charlie Brown Thanksgiving And Christmas Specials Will Be On TV This Year After All

I, like many people, was absolutely fuming when I found out that the Charlie Brown Thanksgiving and Christmas specials weren’t going to be airing on TV this year. Everyone was like, “Oh, just watch them on Apple TV,” but I don’t have Apple TV+ and I’m not getting it just to watch two of the best animated holiday programs of all times, okay? Well, thankfully, Apple has heard my cry (and the cries of millions of others) and has decided to put them on regular ol’ TV this year after all.

  1. We already missed It’s The Great Pumpkin, Charlie Brown. All of his tomfoolery with Apple TV+ taking over the Charlie Brown specials has meant that we already missed the Halloween one, which is bad enough. The idea of having to miss the Thanksgiving and Christmas ones too was almost too much for many people to bear.
  2. Petitions were signed and change was had! After a Change.org petition to bring the Peanuts specials back to TV this year gained more than 263,000 signatures, someone decided to actually listen and give the people what they want. That’s right, Charlie Brown is back on our TV screens!
  3. Apple teamed up with PBS for the broadcasts. Not only are we getting the Charlie Brown Christmas and Thanksgiving specials back on our TV screens, but because they’re going to be on PBS this year, they’ll be ad-free! This news just gets better and better.
  4. Start tuning in later this month. PBS will air the Thanksgiving special on November 22 and the Christmas special on December 13, respectively. However, Apple TV+ will also make the shows available for free between November 25 – 27 and December 11 – 13, though actual subscribers will get them earlier and for longer.
