Chelsea Handler Getting Backlash Over ‘Day In The Life Of A Childless Woman’ Video

Chelsea Handler is a hilarious comedian, and she also happens to be a happily childfree woman. She’s never regretted her decision not to have children. In fact, she uses it as a punchline in much of her comedy. However, some people just didn’t see the humor in her “Day in the Life of a Childless Woman” she recently did for “The Daily Show.”

In the clip, the 47-year-old jokes about her “daily routine” as a woman who doesn’t have the responsibility of children to deal with. “This is a day in the life of a childless woman. I wake up at 6 a.m. Then I remember that I have no kids to take to school, so I take an edible, masturbate, and go back to sleep,” she says in a voice-over.

“I wake up at 12:30pm and get ready for a busy day of doing whatever the f**k I feel like,” she continues, adding that she wears whatever she wants on her feet since she doesn’t have a brat to chase around the grocery store.

Next, she shows what she gets up to in the afternoons: taking a flight to Paris, hitting up Mount Everest, and even “traveling back in time to kill Hitler.”

She adds: “I do a meditation sesh on the plane since I have no screaming kids, allowing me all the time in the world to become enlightened. The weightlessness of my existence has granted me superhuman powers.”

Chelsea Handler is cool with her childfree choice

All in all, it’s a clearly satirical video, with more than 10 million people watching it since it was uploaded online. And while many people applauded her for showing how happy and full life can be without kids, not everyone was feeling it.

“Yes, you’re really living your best life, aren’t you? Just to be clear, because it apparently needs to be said by parents, I wouldn’t trade 10,000 of your supposedly carefree childless days in Paris and sleeping in until noon for one smile from my baby girl,” said Fox News writer Justin Hawkins. Meanwhile, anti-abortion activist Lila Rose wrote: “This is really sad.”

Chelsea Handler is taking it all in her childfree stride, however. “Why would I even need my own children when I get to hear these crybabies all the time?” she responded. “You guys seem so triggered by me.”
