John Cena Breaks Make-A-Wish Record, Making 650 Kids’ Dreams Come True

Celebrities are known for being shallow and self-absorbed, but that’s certainly not the case across the board. In fact, many famous people decide to use their money and their platform for good, and that’s certainly the case for WWE wrestler, actor, and all-around great guy John Cena, whose work with the Make-A-Wish Foundation has made more than 650 kids’ dreams come true.

John Cena has been working with Make-A-Wish since 2004.

If you’re unfamiliar with the organization, it’s a charity that exists in order to make the wishes of terminally ill kids a reality.

While plenty of celebrities have gotten involved over the years, it’s Cena who’s been the most dedicated when it comes to granting wishes, having done so more than 650 times in the last 19 years.

Plus, given that he broke that record in June 2022, chances are that number is a lot higher by now.

He doesn’t think twice about saying yes.

While we can assume he has a very busy schedule, John Cena says that when Make-A-Wish calls, he comes running without hesitation.

“I just drop everything,” he said, per KTLA. “If I can offer a fantastic experience, I’ll be the first in line to do my part.”

No wonder he’s Make-A-Wish’s most requested celebrity.

John Cena has a bit of a reputation at Make-A-Wish, with the organization revealing that he’s the most-requested celebrity from families and kids. It seems word has gotten around that he’s an exemplary human being, and everyone wants to meet him!

As for Cena himself, he loves that people actually want to meet him.

“You can do anything you want, and Make-A-Wish’s list is enormous. ‘I want to kick it with John Cena and go see him wrestle’ — that’s the coolest thing I’ve ever heard,” he said.

He added that families often reach out to him after the meetings and let them know how wonderful it was for their kids to spend time with him before their death.

“Those are always difficult to read, but it’s very special,” he admitted.
