Justin Bieber Party Favor Seems To Be A Dig At Ex Selena Gomez

Justin Bieber is facing backlash after giving out a rather bizarre party favor at the bash celebrating his 29th birthday. Alfredo Flores, a music video director, shared a photo of a silver lighter with an inscription that many people believe could be a dig at Bieber’s ex, Selena Gomez.

The lighter has a cowboy hat and the words: “I am so grateful that I didn’t end up with what I thought I wanted.” And while admittedly, the message could mean anything, social media is certain there’s a Gomez reference there.

Would Justin Bieber really shade an ex with a party favor?

“Husband and wife both obsessed af with Selena.. they’re clearly not okay…” one person wrote on Twitter. Another added: “If this is really about Selena (dk) then this is just cruel. No matter how many years have passed, it would sting if an ex of mine said they’re so glad they didn’t end up with me ON THEIR BDAY. But I’m a people pleaser so what do I know.” A third said: “Using your birthday party to try and throw shade at your ex like this is unhinged behavior. He is the real problem in all of this drama.”

Of course, we can’t forget that Hailey Bieber and Selena Gomez have had drama lately, not over Justin but over Hailey’s mean girl behavior. It got so bad that Gomez deleted her TikTok to avoid having to deal with the drama anymore. Had those things not happened, there probably wouldn’t be so many raised eyebrows over this.

Of course, Justin Bieber’s 29th birthday party favor could just have been a reflection on life. Many of the things we think we want and need are things we later realize we’re better off without. That’s not always a relationship. It could be a career, a house, or anything at all. That being said, if it is a dig on Gomez, they need to grow up.
