When I think of KFC, I think of deliciously greasy fast food that is terrible for your arteries but tastes too damn good to care. One thing I don’t think of is beauty products. However, KFC has indeed waded into the makeup industry by releasing a limited-edition lipstick that apparently tastes like hot wings. Go figure!

- The release was in honor of National Lipstick Day and National Wing Day. They happen to fall on the same day, July 29, so KFC thought they’d get in on the celebrations by releasing a product that pays homage to both of those things. Needless to say, this is not your average lipstick!
- It’s called KFC Crave. Hilarious name, but even crazier is that it’s made with real distilled KFC hot wings and chili oil, making it one spicy lipstick. It only comes in one shade, which is supposed to be a universally flattering shade of red called Bucket Red No. 11.
- KFC has made their lipstick wingproof too! That means you can put it on, chow down on two KFC Hot Wings, and the lipstick won’t have budged an inch. Presumably it can withstand eating and drinking other items as well, which is always a good thing. “Set to take the beauty world by storm, KFC Crave has been designed with a revolutionary new WingProof formula,” KFC said in a statement. “Not only does it taste lip-smackingly good, but it’s been formulated with a new eight-hour conditioning and smudge-proof technology that means it can survive a KFC wing-sesh. The budge-proof finish gives you the freedom to wear your lipstick and enjoy your wings.”
- Sadly, it’s not available to the general public. However, if you’re desperate to get your hands on one, visit the KFC website where you can sign up for a chance to win your own tube. You’ll have to be quick, though. They won’t be around for long!
