Kim Kardashian Says She Cries Herself To Sleep At Night Trying To Raise 4 Kids Alone

Ever since Kim Kardashian split from Kanye West, she’s been the primary caregiver for her four kids. North, Saint, Chicago, and Psalm live with their mom pretty much full-time, and while Kardashian has a huge family support system and a limitless budget for handlers and helpers, she still claims that she cries herself to sleep at night over the pressures of raising her kids “alone.” Needless to say, her statement yet again comes off a bit tone-deaf to people who are actually struggling as single parents, but what else can we expect from this family?

In an interview with Jay Shetty on his “On Purpose” podcast, Kim Kardashian opened up about the realities of raising a 9-year-old, a 7-year-old, a 5-year-old, and a 4-year-old. And while the full interview won’t go live until May 22, People magazine got a sneak preview and shared some of the most, erm, memorable quotes.

Kardashian says on the podcast that “the days are long and the years are short” when you’re a parent. “So, like, when you’re in it, I mean, especially when they’re babies and you’re feeding…there’s madness going on. It’s like full madness. It’s the best chaos though,” she added.

The reality star also opened up about what a typical morning looks like in the Kardashian household, saying “you have no idea what’s going on.” As she explained: “It’s like I always have to do one of my daughter’s hair — and it has to be perfect and it has to be a certain way — and then this one needs me to put his shoes on and they all need you. It’s like full crazy madness, cooking, running around. Like, it’s wild.”

While it sounds to most regular people that Kim Kardashian is literally describing anyone’s life with kids, she seems to think she’s going through something incredibly unique and strenuous despite all the help she has financially, physically, and emotionally.

“There are nights I cry myself to sleep. Like, ‘what just happened?’ You know, with all the moods and the personalities and sometimes they’re fighting and there’s no one there,” she shared. She admitted that having to play “good cop and bad cop” is a “challenge.”

Regardless, Kardashian says she loves being a parent. “It is the most challenging, rewarding job on this planet,” she said.
