Kim Kardashian has admitted that Kanye West’s “shenanigans” in public and online over the past year have really worn her down and she’s struggled to cope. In a new episode of Hulu’s “The Kardashians,” the reality star opened up about the effect West’s erratic behavior has had not only on her but on their four kids: 9-year-old North, 7-year-old Saint, 5-year-old Chicago, and 4-year-old Psalm.
Lest we forget, West had a pretty rough 2022. From going on an antisemitic rampage to making terribly offensive and unhinged comments on Twitter and Instagram and in interviews, it’s pretty safe to say that the rapper has experienced a serious fall from grace. Things got so bad that even Adidas cut ties with him and Kanye West lost his billionaire status as his worth was slashed from nearly $2 billion to $400 million.
Given that “The Kardashians” is filmed several months before airing, West’s antics were likely pretty fresh at the time Kim Kardashian discussed them on the show.
“There’s been a lot going on with Kanye right now … I think at this point, I just assume everything I text Kanye is gonna be put on the internet,” she said in a VT. “I think I can handle anything, I just get really heartbroken for my mom, that she has to deal with so much from so many different sides.”

During a later chat with mom Kris Jenner, Kardashian said that dealing with the fallout from West’s behavior as well as the uncertainty of what he’ll do next was having a serious effect on her health.
“I spent my whole morning having an anxiety attack, I felt like I just couldn’t breathe all day. You know when you’re just on the verge of tears… that’s how I felt all day,” Kim said.
Kardashian went on to say that she believes that Kanye’s public meltdowns will be more damaging to their children than the fact that she released a sex tape.
“Even through all of the craziness of everything that Kanye says about us, I never comment, I never post… he has made up the most insane narrative about you, and the tape, and we stay silent, we stay silent through all the lies,” she continued.
“Even how he looks so down on me for my [sex] tape, brings it up all over town, all over the media. Like, thanks for reminding people once again. All of his shenanigans is gonna be far more damaging to the kids one day than my tape will ever be and I have to sit here and not say anything, ever, because I know one day my kids will appreciate that. And I know that is the best thing for them.”
You have to feel for her. Kim Kardashian cries herself to sleep over the stresses of parenting alone, and I’m sure dealing with someone like West, who has uncontrolled mental health issues he refuses to seek help for, is a large contributor to the stress she feels.
