It doesn’t matter how amazing 2015 was, because you should aim to make 2016 even better. It won’t be easy to do, but it’s definitely possible. You can start by making minor changes that’ll impact your everyday life. Instead of joining a gym or going on a diet, here are a few lifestyle changes you should try if you want to have the best year possible:

  1. Expect more from men. Stop responding to men who ask you for nudes and booty calls. Don’t give a guy the time of day, unless he treats you like an actual, flesh and blood human being with feelings.
  2. Say yes more often. Don’t turn down your coworkers when they ask you out for half apps. Stop coming up with excuses for why you can’t have fun, and start enjoying your life the way you were always meant to.
  3. Learn to rely on yourself. You won’t always have a man, or your parents, around to help you out of a jam. If you still can’t change a tire or file your taxes, 2016 is the year that you should learn how to handle those activities on your own.
  4. Stop being mean to yourself. Don’t criticize your beautiful body when you look in the mirror. Don’t dump junk food into it either, because it deserves plenty of water and vegetables.
  5. Rock your natural look. You’re beautiful just the way you are. Besides, your straightener is damaging your hair, and your makeup is clogging your pores.
  6. Go on more memorable dates. Don’t accept Taco Bell as a date location. It’s unhealthy to load up on fast food, and you deserve a trip to a five star restaurant, anyway.
  7. Cut down on the drinking. You can still go out and have fun with your friends without drinking. Cutting back on alcohol can get rid of that beer belly and put an end to those embarrassing drunken moments.
  8. Buy a pet. If you’re lonely, you don’t need a boyfriend to make yourself feel whole. You could save a life by adopting a puppy (or at least a plant) instead.
  9. Exercise every day. You don’t have to join a gym. Just take the stairs instead of hopping into the elevator, and when you arrive at work, park in a spot far away from the door, so you fit a little bit of exercise into your day.
  10. Love yourself. You can take this literally by masturbating more often, because it’ll boost your mood, or you could simply take some time out each day to remind yourself of how amazing you are (because you are most certainly amazing).
