A British man has pleaded guilty in Bradford Crown Court of 11 criminal charges including performing acts of penetration on chickens, it has been revealed. Rehan Baig, 37, appeared before the judge alongside his wife, Haleema Baig, on July 31, and it’s very clear the man is extremely disturbed and needs to be behind bars.
- Rehan’s offenses are many and extreme. In addition to pleading guilty to having sex with chickens, Rehan also admitted downloading indecent images of children, possession of extreme pornographic images relating to sex acts with dogs and chickens, as well as possessing 405mg of cocaine and 4.07g of cannabis resin, Yorkshire Live reports.
- Haleema wasn’t innocent in all of this either. She previously admitted three counts of aiding and abetting intercourse with an animal before yesterday’s hearing since she willingly filmed her husband with the chickens. However, she insists she had nothing to do with the pornographic images or the drugs.
- Rehan claims it only happened once. His lawyers asserted that Rehan’s sentence might have been harsher had the incidents with the chickens have happened on multiple occasions but that it was actually just once. “The court may take the view that if these are acts that have taken place on more than one day that would make a difference in terms of sentencing,” said Rehan’s attorney, Nick Leadbetter. “Both defendants assert it was sexual intercourse which took place on one day with these animals and that it was filmed on one day.”
- The couple are on bail until their sentencing. The court will be deliberating both Rehan’s and Haleema’s sentence until the next hearing on September 25. For now, they’re both on bail. Here’s hoping they’re being kept well away from chickens, drugs, and computers and that they both get the help they so obviously need because this is just not normal.
