If there’s one thing Swifties are going to do it’s talk about Taylor Swift until they annoy the life out of everyone around them. While remarking on her music or popping on one of her albums is totally fine, there comes a point when the non-Swifties around them will think, “Enough already!”
That’s exactly what happened to Maryland-based realtor Dana Rice, whose husband got so fed up with her fixation on Taylor Swift and her relationship with Travis Kelce, he created a swear jar of sorts that Dana has to put money in every time she brings the stars up.
Dana Rice shared a clip of the Taylor Swift swear jar on her Instagram page.
In the video, her husband was taping a sign to a front of a jar as Dana laughed hysterically in the background.
“Taylor Swift Jar, any mention of Taylor Swift and you owe $0.25. I can’t take it anymore. Travis Kelce included,” the jar reads.
Dana then mentions that “they were both on Saturday Night Live yesterday,” prompting her husband to declare, “That’s a quarter.”
Taylor Swift fans loved the idea.
While it may seem a bit harsh to banish a Swiftie from being able to talk about their hero, it seems fans took it in the good humor in which it was meant online. They all took to the comments section to share their support for Dana.
“He’s doing you a favor you will save enough for tickets next time she tours,” one person joked.
Another added, “He’s gonna need a bigger jar.”
A third suggested getting revenge, adding, “Put a jar next to it for football mentions. Anytime he mentions the NFL at all, it’s a quarter.”

To be fair, there’s a lot of Taylor Swift news to talk about at the moment.
Dana isn’t wrong for bringing her up a lot. After all, Swift’s relationship with Kelce is big news at the minute. There’s also the fact that she just re-released “1989 (Taylor’s Version)” AND she has a massive concert movie in theaters at the moment.
When you think of it that way, Dana’s just keeping up on current events, right?
