Mariah Carey has made millions off the enduring popularity of “All I Want For Christmas Is You” — $1.6 million in 2022 alone and more than $60 million between 1994, when the song was released, and 2016. However, just like many members of the public are getting a bit exasperated with the upbeat track, her own kids are feeling similarly. In fact, they’re “sick” of hearing it day in, day out.

Admittedly, “All I Want For Christmas” is a total banger.

No matter how annoying it gets when the radio plays it 15 times a day, it’s popular for a reason: it’s a really good Christmas song. Mariah’s voice was at its peak, the melody of the track is super catchy, and it captures all the feel-good holiday vibes perfectly. Sure, it may have been overplayed, but that’s only because it’s really good.

It’s also important to note that this song is literally turning 30 next year, yet it’s still the most popular Christmas song year in, year out. You have to give props to the ultimate pop diva.

Mariah Carey’s kids have had enough of the song.

Taking to Instagram on Christmas Eve, Carey appeared with her children, twins Monroe and Moroccan, as she sang her famous hit into the camera.

Mariah Carey was dressed in a Mrs. Claus-esque outfit with white fur trim and sat on the floor belting out the beloved lyrics. Her kids, however, were not feeling it.

“Mom, please, we don’t want to do this every time!” they said.

However, Carey insisted she was “just being festive.” The kids then stormed off in anger.

It’s all in good fun.

While Monroe and Moroccan must get a bit tired of hearing the song — they’re only human, after all — Carey’s video was obviously all in good fun.

In fact, she posted a similar video a few years back showing her busting into the room and singing the track in front of a Christmas tree, only that time, the kids joined in. The family obviously has a great sense of humor!
