Signs You & Your Man Are A Total Power Couple

You might think that you and your boyfriend are extremely compatible, but are you a power couple? A power couple consists of two people who are pretty impressive separately, but together they’re a true force to be reckoned with. That takes a special kind of magic. To know for sure, here are 14 signs you and your other half are on your way to becoming a power couple — or you’re already there.

  1. You’re his biggest fan, and vice versa. While other couples might make it a point to avoid career talk, you and your man have not only talked about it, but you have a clear picture of your future and will do whatever needs to be done to help each other get there. It’s all about supporting each other instead of feeling insecure and subconsciously (or consciously) holding each other back.
  2. “Work hard, play hard” is your motto. Chill is just not for you two. You work long hours to reach your respective goals, but instead of letting it tear your relationship apart, you plan awesome weekends together and dates in order to compensate.
  3. Your combined network is unstoppable. Between the two of you, your network basically covers everyone in your industry and friends in every high place possible. You both rub shoulders with some impressive people that will get you where you need to go.
  4. People you don’t even know have heard of you. When you meet new people, it’s obvious they’re already somewhat familiar with you as a couple. Your reputation is pretty solid, thanks to your network.
  5. You’re competitive, even with each other. Others might be laid back and not care about winning, but that’s not you. You both are competitive at work, in competitions, and just in general even with each other. It’s all in good fun, though.
  6. You know how to work a room. Neither of you has trouble turning on the charm. Neither of you is the type of person to just stick to each other and leave early. You tend to make the rounds multiple times, introduce each other to new people, and just be fabulous.
  7. You’re a “glass half full” couple. When one of you hits a rough patch, you don’t let the other get down about it. You push ahead and look on the bright side because there usually is one. You’re very positive people and always are grateful for the little things.
  8. Your clothes are effortlessly coordinated. Neither of you is worried about clothes because you’re always on your A-game. You actually prefer to dress for success rather than laying around in pajamas, and you’re always perfectly coordinated, even without trying.
  9. Your busy schedule fits perfectly with your relationship. You’re both always on the go and up to something exciting. To be on top of things and ensure you still have time together, you have one Google calendar for both of your events and appointments, so you’re very organized.
  10. Neither of you is the clingy type. Some would feel neglected when their partner is busy with work, but neither of you are like that. You understand when work gets mad, and you know a relationship means making a few sacrifices so you can both reach your goals.
  11. You’ve made it through tough obstacles together. Power comes from facing your weakness and making it through. If you’ve both gone through some rough times both separately and as a unit and only gotten stronger by being each other’s support system, that’s what’s most important.
  12. You’re gracious (and popular) hosts for social gatherings. Everyone wants you to host the next dinner or event at your place and for good reason. Neither of you hold back when it comes to hosting – you make sure you have all the delicious food and awesome décor, and that everyone leaves with a smile on their face.
  13. You push each other to be better. You call each other out when you’re not being the best you can be. You give each other motivation to do more and be a good person. You love each other, but you don’t ever ease up.
  14. Other people compare you to other power couples. Most of your friends joke that you two are Jay Z and Beyoncé, and you take it as a huge compliment. People can see that you two are doing big things and are going to go places, and there’s no better feeling than that.
