Starbucks Japan Is Releasing An All-Black Goth Frappuccino Just In Time For Halloween Starbucks

Everything in Japan is so wild and vibrant. The country isn’t afraid to have fun with its food and drink, so it’s no surprise that Starbucks Japan is releasing an all-black goth Frappuccino just in time for Halloween. If you’re planning on heading overseas this month, you have to try this!

  1. The Booooo Frappuccino is a thing of beauty. Starbucks Japan isn’t playing when it comes to this goth Frappuccino. The whole thing is jet black and even comes with a dark chocolate drizzle over the whipped cream to complete the look.
  2. But wait, what does it taste like? There’s nothing goth about the flavor here. While it looks extremely dark and foreboding, the flavor is actually described as a bitter caramel with a hint of pumpkin pudding. Super seasonal, for sure!
  3. The company is releasing a snack to go with it. If you’re getting a bit peckish and your Frappuccino isn’t enough to tide you over until mealtime, you might want to grab a Halloween Chocolate Cake, which is also on the menu. While it looks entirely black, it actually has a sweet blueberry cream frosting paired with the black cocoa cake. Yum!
  4. Sadly, the goth Frappuccino and Halloween cake are exclusive to Starbucks Japan. While Starbucks locations around the world will no doubt have their own seasonal offerings, these bad boys are staying firmly in Asia. They’re released on October 11 and will run for a few short weeks through the end of the month. That means you’ll have to be quick if you want to try them. Better get those plane tickets booked! (Or, you could always try to recreate it via the Starbucks secret menu!)
