Texas Dad Jailed For Pulling Knife On Girls Who Were Relentlessly Bullying His Daughter Wichita County Jail

A Texas father has been arrested and thrown in jail after he reportedly pulled a knife on a group of girls who had been relentlessly bullying his daughter. KAUZ reports that Thomas Brown was charged with aggravated assault with a deadly weapon on January 27, and while his actions were extremely inappropriate, many people understand where he was coming from.

  1. Brown’s daughter was being bullied by other girls at her high school. She told her father about the way her classmates were torturing her and said that even though she’d told the school principal, nothing was done. One day, Brown told officers his daughter called him saying that the bullies were chasing her, so he went to meet her at an intersection near her school.
  2. Brown confronted the girls on behalf of his daughter. Since they wouldn’t listen to anyone else, Brown decided he was going to put an end to the bullying once and for all. He told the girls he would slit their throats if they so much as touched his daughter. When one of them taunted him and said he wouldn’t do it, he reportedly pulled out a pocket knife and held it six inches from the girl’s neck, an arrest affidavit states.
  3. Wichita Falls Police were called to the scene shortly after. Multiple witnesses contacted police, and when they arrived, they found Brown walking down a nearby street. They asked him about what happened and Brown replied that he knew he was probably going to jail.
  4. Brown didn’t deny what he’d done. In fact, he is said to have spoken openly about what happened even after he was read his Miranda rights and warned that anything he said could be used against him. He handed over the knife and reenacted the incident with the officers.

Brown is still in custody at Wichita County Jail. At the time of publication, his bond hadn’t been set.
