Trolls have been comparing Gwyneth Paltrow to serial killer Jeffrey Dahmer after she showed up to court wearing his signature aviator glasses. Paltrow is being sued in Utah over a 2016 skiing accident that left a man with permanent brain damage. However, rather than the details of the case, people watching the televised trial were more concerned with Paltrow’s choice of eyewear.

  1. The social media commentary was gold. The similarity between Gwyneth Paltrow’s and Jeffrey Dahmer’s glasses was a big topic of conversation. “Gwyneth Paltrow is literally going for the #Dahmer look at this ski accident trial… wtf? Not very on brand for @goop,” one person wrote. Another simply asked, “Why has she dressed as Jeffrey Dahmer?”
  2. The resemblance wasn’t lost on anyone. A “Good Morning America” story on the trial was met with similar comments, with one person saying, “Photos make her look like a serial killer. Geez.” Another said, “I like her serial killer vibe.” More people were talking about the glasses than the trial itself!
  3. Gwyneth Paltrow is facing some pretty serious allegations. Fashion choices aside, this is a serious case. Back in 2019, a man named Terry Sanderson sued her for allegedly crashing into him while skiing at Deer Valley Resort in Park City, Utah. He claims he suffered a concussion, broken ribs, and now permanent brain damage. And while skiing accidents happen all the time, Sanderson said this one is all Paltrow’s fault.
  4. So, what did she do wrong? Sanderson accused Paltrow of skiing recklessly. Worse, he says she left him injured on the mountain and just left the scene without seeing if he was okay or trying to help. She claims he was the one uphill and that she did help. It’s hard to say who will win here, but she probably won’t wear those glasses again!
