Uptight Mom Warns Parents Not To Let Children Watch “Hocus Pocus 2” Disney+

A Texas mom is all up in arms over “Hocus Pocus 2,” which is currently available to watch on Disney+. Jamie Gooch, 33, warned fellow parents not to let their kids watch the fictional witchy film, as it would “unleash hell” on children and their households. Sounds like someone needs to take a chill pill.

  1. Pretty much everyone wants to watch “Hocus Pocus 2.” That goes for kids who like fun Halloween movies and adults who remember the original 1993 movie. Stars Bette Midler, Sarah Jessica Parker, and Kathy Najimy all returned to reprise their roles. Together they play the Sanderson sisters, a trio of Salem witches seeking eternal life. It’s silly, it’s funny, and in no way does it have an effect on your mortal soul. However, Gooch disagrees.
  2. Gooch believes things could get very bad very quickly. Talking to KWTX, Gooch said allowing children to watch “Hocus Pocus 2” could result in a “worst case scenario” in which you “unleash hell on your kids and in your home.” Why is that, you ask?
  3. It’s not just fictional fun. According to Gooch, there’s nothing “fake” about it. In fact, the actors could be using real witchcraft to cast spells on audiences without you even knowing it. “Everybody thinks it’s fake and innocent. But, they could be casting any type of spell that they want to. Anything could be coming through that TV screen into your home,” she said. “It grieves me, the thought of exposing our kids to darkness.”
  4. Needless to say, Gooch is a conservative Christian. She lives with her husband and kids on a farm and hasn’t allowed the little ones to do anything fun for Halloween for “four or five years.” Instead, she prefers to keep them concentrated on good Christian values. Clearly, “Hocus Pocus 2” does not share those values.
  5. Gooch called for fellow parents to be “gatekeepers of our homes.” In a now-deleted Facebook post seen by the Daily Mail, Gooch said she felt compelled to “sound the alarm” about “Hocus Pocus 2.” She wants to “protect children” who might want to watch it. “After all, the whole movie is based on harvesting the purity of children’s souls so that witches may live on … What is happening when we watch these films?” she questioned. “What are we subjecting our minds to? What are we welcoming into the homes of our families?”
  6. What exactly does she think might happen if kids were to watch “Hocus Pocus 2”? I mean, in addition to the spell-casting and everything. Well, Gooch insists that you might be tempted to the dark side by Satan himself just by watching the children’s movie. “Before you hit play on the night of the premiere of this movie, please ask yourself if not only your mind, but your children’s minds, are strong enough to ward off the hypnotization and bewitching trance that will be coming through your screen to aid the desensitization of the coming evil in this world,” she warned in her Facebook post. “Don’t fall victim to the schemes of hell.”

You can watch “Hocus Pocus 2” on Disney+ now.
