A Florida woman was arrested after she stripped off and drove a golf cart into the middle of an armed standoff. The Pinellas County Sheriff’s Office called in the SWAT team to nab 18-year-old Myles Abbott when he ran from deputies and climbed onto the roof of a nearby house. That’s when Jessica Elisabeth Smith drove in naked and caused a major distraction.

- Abbott was finally arrested after six hours. While he pointed his gun at deputies during the standoff, Abbott was eventually moved from the roof and arrested and no one was hurt.
- It’s unclear what Smith was up to, however. In the middle of this tense police situation, Smith drove her golf cart naked near to the house where Abbott was on the roof. According to an arrest affidavit, her “actions and inability to follow directions put multiple deputies at risk for potentially getting shot at.”
- Yes, Smith was extremely drunk. Upon her arrest, officers noted that Smith had a “distinct odor of an alcoholic beverage coming from her person.” She also happened to be “completely nude,” not just half-nude. She was as naked as the day she was born!
- Smith was booked on charges of resisting an officer without violence. While initially taken to county jail, she was later released pending a future court appearance. Drunken antics can be pretty embarrassing, but this situation was extremely dangerous and very ill-timed, that’s for sure.
