18 Ways To Remind Him Why He Fell In Love With You On The Daily

Happily ever after can turn into complacent or even downright miserable if you’re not making any effort to keep things fresh and moving forward — and he should be doing the same. You love him, so don’t let him forget it. Plus, remind him why he fell in love with you every day by doing these 18 things.

  1. Make him a priority. Life’s a bitch sometimes and it gets in the way of spending time together. When was the last time you made him feel like he was a top priority for you? Put him first sometimes and show him that he’s still the man you want to be with.
  2. Don’t take him for granted. Routines happen in relationships, but sometimes routine turns into resentment. Thank him when he cooks your favorite dinner after you’ve pulled several 12-hour days in a row. It’s simple, but it makes him feel loved.
  3. Be your own woman. He wants to be with you, but not 24/7. Have your own life. It’ll show him that you’re happy and confident, that you’re a complete person all on your own, and he’s just the cherry on top. What an amazing way to remind him why he fell in love with you in the first place.
  4. Make him feel needed sometimes. Of course, he still wants to feel like he makes a meaningful difference in your life. Let him carry something heavy or ask him to help you out with some yard work. It’s a partnership, after all, so make sure he feels like you need his support as much as he needs yours.
  5. Hold him accountable. Don’t let him get away with not following through. If he promises to do something, make sure he does it. It’s not nagging — it’s showing him that he has to meet you halfway. Otherwise, you’ll just end up with a man who takes you for granted.
  6. Call him out on his crap. Believe it or not, guys worth being with actually love women who call them out on their shit. Catch him in a horrible white lie? Say something. Is he giving you the lamest excuses ever? Send him to the doghouse. This is one of the best ways to remind him why he fell in love with you. You’ve never been a pushover, so don’t be one now.
  7. Laugh at the bad jokes. Sorry, but at this point, you’re stuck with the bad jokes. You laughed at them early on and it fed his ego. Keep him in love with you by continuing to laugh at them. He knows you’re faking, but it shows you care.
  8. Keep the sex alive. You might not have it as often as you used to, but make time for it, unless there’s some legitimate reason you can’t. Sex is intensely intimate and brings you both closer. He’ll fall more in love with you just from knowing you still find him attractive.
  9. Have regular date nights. Eating dinner in front of the TV and mumbling to each other isn’t a date night. Go do something special that forces you to actually talk to each other. Remember how much fun you had when you were dating? Make it a priority at least once a week and he’ll love you even more.
  10. Get to know his interests. Outside of food and sex, the quickest way to a man’s heart is through his interests. You don’t have to love what he does, but ask him questions about it. Get him talking. Showing interest makes him feel special. Besides, you want him to listen when you talk about yours right?
  11. Talk it out instead of holding grudges. He’s probably going to be more annoyed and pissed than lovey-dovey when you’re holding a grudge over something that happened six months ago. Get over it already. If something’s bothering you, talk to him about it. He’ll love you more and no one has to hold grudges that just destroy the entire relationship.
  12. Don’t expect him to read your mind. Women are a mystery and guys have tried and failed miserably to solve it. Give up and stop expecting him to read your subtle and sometimes not-so-subtle hints. Tell him what you want. He’ll be so relieved that he can’t help but love you.
  13. Flirt your ass off. Flirting doesn’t end once you get the guy. Flirting is fun and makes you feel younger. That’s reason enough to keep doing it. It also spices up the relationship and reminds him why he fell in love with you and how much he’s still wild about you.
  14. Don’t be a bitch. Holding grudges, constant nagging, refusing to do anything he wants, talking, and never listening. Sound familiar? If so, stop it. Guys hate it when the woman they love transitions into a bitch. It’s like false advertising. Be a decent human being and he’ll return the favor with long-lasting love.
  15. Keep things fresh. Make an effort to try new things, even if it’s just new shows on Netflix. Spice it up in the bedroom (or outside it). Go someplace new. The more monotony, the more the love tends to fade away.
  16. Do what you want him to do. It’s not rocket science. What would make you stay madly in love with him? Do that for him. It’s also a good way to make sure he knows what you want. If you notice, he tends to mimic what you do for him.
  17. Tell him you love him. It doesn’t matter how long you’ve been together — NEVER stop telling him you love him. That’s something far too many couples stop saying — they just assume the other one knows. He needs to hear it, just like you do.
  18. Give him space when he needs it. Clingy isn’t exactly attractive. It also creeps him the hell out. If he wants to go out with his friends, don’t give him an ultimatum that he either has to take you too or not go at all. You both need your space, so let him have his. He’ll respect and love you more because of it.
