Neighbor Sends Note Demanding Mom Only Let Kids Outside For 15 Minutes A Day Because They Annoy Her Dogs

A mom has gone viral after sharing a note she allegedly received online from a neighbor who demanded she only allows her child outside to play for 15 minutes a day so as not to annoy the neighbor’s dogs. The woman, Bobbie Hineman, posted a screengrab of the note along with the caption “yes, this is real,” and it wasn’t long before it went viral. People simply couldn’t believe the gall of the neighbor or how she ever thought it was appropriate to make such demands.

  1. The family is relatively new to the neighborhood. According to the note, the family moved to the neighborhood about a year prior, and according to the neighbor, the boy playing in his own back yard has always been a problem. “Dear ‘ neighbor,’ You moved to the neighborhood a year ago and I wanted to give you time to correct this problem on your own, but you are apparently too inconsiderate to do so,” the note began. Uh oh, nothing going is going to come to this.
  2. Children should be seen and not heard, I guess. The note continued that the sunny weather had meant the mom allowed her son to play outside, as you do. However, this is not cool with the neighbor, who wants to give her pet dogs and bird a chill environment to hang out in. Yes, really. “Every day this week, when the weather has been nice and windows are open, you proceed to let your small child run free in your backyard and laugh and giggle and carry on without end,” said the Grinch. “This is very disruptive for my two dogs and my bird who sits next to the window and like to look in your yard.”
  3. What exactly is the neighbor suggesting here? Simple: the mom should limit her son’s time in his own back yard because some old curmudgeon doesn’t like it. “Perhaps you could ask him to tone it down a bit, or at least limit his outside time to 15 – 20 minutes a day so my dogs can be outside without seeing him running around,” the note read.
  4. This was a demand, not a suggestion. As if this wasn’t bad enough, the note continued by threatening to call the police if the mom doesn’t heed the neighbor’s request. Good luck on that, buddy. I’m sure they’ll really step in and make a real change here. Hey, maybe they’ll even arrest the neighbor for harassment!
