Man Submits Application To Make Sex An Official Sport In Sweden

Sex is a very physical activity that gets you hot and sweaty, takes a good amount of skill and strength, and gives you just as good of a workout as, say, ice skating or running if done right. That’s perhaps why some guy called Dragan Bratic wants sex to be proclaimed an official sport in Sweden. Yes, really.

Bratic owns a few strip clubs in Jönköping and believes his employees should be able to use sex to train for their jobs. Not only is it great for you physically, but it has a solid mental impact too. That’s why Bratic submitted an application to join the National Sports Confederation back in January 2023.

“We are registered, have an organization number and it’s perfectly okay to train and compete in sex, then it’s a sport like any other,” Bratic told P4 Jönköping. “The incorporation of sexual orientation as a part of sporting tactics will be a ground-breaking development among European countries.”

Bratic would love to join forces with The Swedish Sex Federation to host a “6-week sex championship” where participants would show off their skills in everything from foreplay and oral sex to body massages, seduction, and endurance. They’d be scored not only on technical prowess but also creativity, artistic performance, and how good their sexual positions are.

In theory, the competition would include 20 people from countries around the world, and a three-member judging panel would act as the ultimate voyeurs to score them on their work and crown a winner.

However, the National Sports Confederation put the kibosh on Dragan Bratic’s dreams pretty quickly, turning down the application back in April.

“It [the application] doesn’t meet our requirements and I can inform you that this application has been rejected. We have other things to do,” said Bjorn Eriksson, the then-chief of the sports organization.
