He’s left a huge impact on you, but you’re not sure if he even remembers your name or the color of your eyes. Of course, that hasn’t stopped you from daydreaming about him. In fact, it seems like he’s the only thing occupying your mind. Here’s what you need to remember:

  1. He doesn’t deserve you, even in your dreams. Stop fantasizing about what could’ve been before you go to sleep at night. Dreaming about him is a waste of your time, and it’s only going to make your feelings for him stronger. Don’t give yourself permission to miss him.
  2. He’s not the man you remember. Memories aren’t reliable. That amazing night you keep thinking about wasn’t as great as you remember. You’re just twisting your memories into something worth missing.
  3. You’re someone’s “one” girl. There’s an ex out there who’s still thinking of you. Since you know you’re never going to go back to him, wouldn’t you prefer it if they found a way to move on? That’s what this guy wants for you, too.
  4. There’s more than one person for you. It’s romantic to think that there’s only one person out there for everyone, but it’s just not true. You could make a relationship work with plenty of sexy men. You’re not alone for life just because one boy abandoned you.
  5. You’ll find someone better. A better man won’t make you question yourself. A better man won’t break your heart. You won’t even have a chance to miss a better man, because he’ll never leave.
  6. He’s might not be thinking about you, too. He left an impact on you, but that doesn’t mean you left an impact on him. It’s a sad thought, but you might not cross his mind at all. If he’s already moved on, you should, too.
  7. You’ll forget about him eventually. Right now, it might feel like you’ll never be able to erase his face from your mind, but it’ll happen one day. It’ll just take some time and distance. But one day, you won’t be able to remember the way he looked, let alone the way his voice sounded
  8. He’s never coming back. OK, maybe he will come back one day. But even if he does, you shouldn’t answer the door when he knocks. If you start thinking of him in past tense instead of the present, it’ll be easier for you to move on and find someone who actually appreciates you.
  9. He’s not the right one for you. If he was, then you wouldn’t be spending all of your time missing him. You’d be spending all of your time with him. Since you two aren’t together, you have to understand that it just wasn’t meant to be.
  10. Stop questioning yourself. You didn’t do anything wrong. You’re not the reason why your relationship with him didn’t work out. He’s gone, due to his own silly decisions, so stop wondering if you could’ve done something to prevent your heartbreak.
