The world is in a state of emergency at the moment and one of the best ways to combat it is by staying home. Many countries in the world are on government-mandated lockdowns and everyone is being advised not to leave their homes if they don’t need to. Well, the Backstreet Boys took that to heart during their living room concert on Sunday night, performing their hit “I Want It That Way” from their separate houses.

- The performance was part of Elton John’s charity concert. The concert, which was aired live on Fox, saw artists including Billie Eilish, Alicia Keys, Tim McGraw, and more come together virtually to raise money for some really worthy causes. The Backstreet Boys were a definite highlight of the broadcast for sure.
- Backstreet Boys still have it! While the Backstreet Boys experienced most of their success in the late ’90s and early ’00s, there’s no denying that even in 2020, they put on a good show. Their mini concert just made me want to book tickets to see them live as soon as this lockdown is over!
- They picked the best song to sing. “I Want It That Way” was a major hit from the Backstreet Boys but it’s also just one of their best songs in general. It’s cheesy and sweet in a way that only ’90s pop could be and it also gives each of the guys a chance to show off their vocal chops.
- Needless to say, this concert was a success. The Backstreet Boys members each performed their respective parts of the song from the comfort and safety of their own living rooms. Howie was in Orlando, Kevin and AJ were in LA, Nick was in Vegas, and it’s somewhat unclear where Brian was, but he was safely self-isolating, in any case!
- More Backstreet Boys concerts please! Their performance of “I Want It That Way” was incredible to witness, but frankly, I want a full reunion concert televised ASAP, please! I’m sure millions would tune in!
