Dad-To-Be’s Gender Reveal Behavior Has People Feeling Sorry For Pregnant Woman

Gender reveal parties are a common practice these days, with couples continually trying to one-up each other to create the most outlandish, extreme events possible. However, it was clear that TikToker Hannah’s, who posts as @hannah.j.c16, didn’t go quite as planned.

Hannah and boyfriend Travis staged a sports-themed gender reveal thinking it would make a great video for her nearly 280,000 followers. Travis would hit a baseball that revealed either blue or pink smoke to reveal whether the couple is having a boy or girl.

When the baseball released blue smoke, indicating that Hannah and Travis are having a boy, he and his huge group of friends went absolutely crazy. They erupted into cheers and hugs, delighted at the news. There’s just one problem: Hannah, the person actually having the baby, was left on her own.

The fact that Travis became the focus of attention didn’t sit well with Hannah’s followers. “Don’t forget to hug the momma,” one person commented. Another wrote: “Not me wishing I was there to hug her and congratulate her in this special moment.” A third added: “Did they forget who was carrying the baby?”

Others believed this behavior was indicative of a larger issue that shouldn’t be ignored. “You shouldn’t have to justify his actions, his actions spoke a thousand words. Remember this moment for future red flags. Congrats momma, mom to mom,” a concerned follower wrote.

However, Hannah later told TODAY Parents that she was totally fine and people did congratulate her later.

“I didn’t think anything bad about it until I started reading the comments,” she said. “What people didn’t see was how he came over and gave me a huge hug and a kiss right after. We were so overjoyed and excited.”
