While Monopoly may not be your favorite board game (The Game of Life for the win!), it probably will be soon, especially now that there’s a Disney Theme Parks version that features a pop-up 3-D Fantasyland castle that will make you want to book a trip to Florida (or Los Angeles!) ASAP.
- The properties are all classic Disney theme park locations. All the squares on the Disney Monopoly are classic locations at both Disney World and Disneyland. There’s Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance, Sleeping Beauty’s Castle, Space Mountain, The Haunted Mansion, and loads more.
- The houses and hotels are even Disney themed. Instead of regular ol’ Monopoly houses, the Disney version features Castles and Toontown Houses for you to set up on the properties you buy. It just gets better!
- There are no Chance and Community cards either. Those have been replaced with Magic and Fantasy cards for even more fun. There are even six Disney playing tokens to choose from and a mini gold Walt Disney and Mickey statue. This game couldn’t be any more perfect if it tried, I’m pretty sure.
- Disney Monopoly has a speed version, thank goodness. Perhaps one of the most annoying parts of Monopoly is how long it takes to finish the game. That’s not a problem here because this version has a 60-minute speed version meaning you’ll be done in no time. What a relief!
- You can buy your own Disney Monopoly via the Disney Store. The game is $49.99 and is a must-have for any hardcore Disney fanatic, I’d say. All of the reviews from people who’ve bought it are overwhelmingly positive, with pretty much everyone agreeing that it makes a beautiful collector’s item and a really special gift. The game does seem to be out of stock at the moment, but it should be back soon, and when it is, you should definitely grab one!
