Florida Man Arrested After Throwing Tostitos Salsa Jar At Customer’s Back At 7-Eleven Tostitos

A Florida man was arrested after he threw a jar of Tostitos salsa at a fellow customer at a 7-Eleven store in St. Petersburg, striking him in the back. According to court documents, Le’trail Tresalus, 31, was booked into Pinellas County Jail after being charged with felony battery over the assault, which was believed to be unprovoked.

  1. The incident went down on Wednesday evening. According to an arrest report obtained by The Smoking Gun, Tresalus was said to have thrown the jar at the victim’s back with such force that it broke and caused a minor laceration and “visible swelling.” There was a witness to the attack, which was also caught on the store’s surveillance camera.
  2. Tresalus is still in jail after failing to post $4500 bond. He’s not only facing the felony battery account but also facing theft charges for stealing a Choco Taco from the ice cream bar at the 7-Eleven store where the assault took place.
  3. Perhaps unsurprisingly, this isn’t Tresalus’s first arrest. He has previous convictions for battery and theft, which led police to upgrade his current charges to felonies rather than misdemeanors as they likely would have been had he had a clean rap sheet. It’s unclear when he will appear in court. However, it’s likely to be in the coming weeks.
  4. Tresalus seemed to be having an okay day prior to the incident. Since the attack was unprovoked, no one knows the motivation behind it. According to his Instagram page, Tresalus was having a great day of fishing in the area prior to his arrest, so who knows?
