Former Adult Film Star Lana Rhoades Wants All Her Videos Deleted For The Sake Of Her Mental Health

Former adult film star Lana Rhoades has said she would like all of the explicit scenes she’s ever participated in to be permanently deleted. The 24-year-old, who quit the scene a few years ago, has become an outspoken critic of the adult industry and admitted that her time working in it left her with lasting mental health issues. Talking to Harry Jowsey for the Tap In podcast, she said she’d love to get rid of every scene she’s ever been part of but knows she’ll never be able to.

  1. Rhoades has no rights to any of the videos she’s appeared in. While it’s her body and she should have a say in how the content is used, sadly, for women in the industry, that’s rarely the case. “A lot of the videos I have no rights under, otherwise I probably would have deleted them all by now,” she admitted.
  2. She has serious regrets about getting involved in the adult film industry to begin with. Asked if she wishes she had stayed away altogether, Rhoades responded: “I do. I honestly tell people, if I could go back, I would give up everything to have my dignity and respect back, and for people not to be able to see me in that way.”
  3. Rhoades still suffers from PTSD and other mental health issues because of her experience. During a previous interview with the Three Girls One Kitchen podcast, Rhoades admitted that one scene in particular has never left her. “One of the worst… honestly, I feel like I’m in denial sometimes and I can’t accept some of the things that I’ve done,” she recalled. “There was one thing that, ya know, I tried talking to a therapist about before something that I had to do for a scene that was really rough for me. Basically, this guy had a bowl and he, like, gagged me until I threw up into it and he, like, p***ed in the bowl, and during the scene he asked me to drink it, and I didn’t know how to say no. It was one of the most disgusting, foul scenes.”
  4. She’s much happier now that she’s out of it. As she revealed, her career in the adult industry didn’t even pay very well and she’s doing much better financially now that she’s left it behind. “The industry I did not get paid s***,” she said. “I probably had $100,000 (£71,000) in my bank account when I quit shooting porn and now I’m a multi-millionaire.”
