McDonald’s Customer Orders Sausage McMuffin And Gets Wads Of Cash

Hitting up the McDonald’s drive-thru for a sausage McMuffin is one of the pleasures of being a grown adult who can eat fast food whenver they damn well please. However, Josiah Vargas got more than his breakfast when he hit up his local restaurant for some grub recently. Instead, he was handed a bag containing thousands of cash.

Vargas, who posts on TikTok as @dookiedoeboy, shared his story on the platform. “I just went to McDonald’s and he’s handed me my Sausage McMuffin and this bag,” he says in the clip. “Well, what’s in the bag?”

He then opens the bag to find $5,000 in cash, which Vargas describes as “a f***ing deposit.” However, proving that he’s a “good person,” he decides to hand it back in since he knows it was likely a mistake and definitely isn’t his to keep.

“What the f***? Now I have to return this because I’m a good person, I guess,” he says. “Why would you guys do this to me? Do youo know how bad I want this money? Why put me in this situation?”

Josiah Vargas does indeed return the money. He shows himself walking back into the shop and handing it over. He even jokes with the staff by asking if they’re “laundering money.” They then thank him for his honesty.

He didn’t come away empty-handed, however. He was given free McDonald’s for a month and $200 in cash. “Do good people, return $5,000 and get $200 and free McDonald’s for a month. Good trade value,” he ends the clip.

The video has since been viewed more than two million times, with many commenters praising Vargas for doing the right thing in a difficult situation. “Your smile when you got back in the car. You’re an incredible human being,” one person wrote. Another added, “Someone kept their job because you did the right thing. Good on you man.”
