Zack Snyder no longer works in the DC Universe, but that doesn’t mean that chapter of his life is over forever. In fact, he told The Hollywood Reporter that he talks to lots of people he worked with in the comic book movies.

Of those he still chats to, there’s one thing they seem to have in common: they’ve dealt with a lot of BS in the industry. He’s still in touch with Ezra Miller and believes the “Justice League” actor has “weathered the storm” that followed the backlash against Joss Whedon well. However, as much as he likes Miller, the one star Zack Snyder would love to work with again is Amber Heard.

Snyder doesn’t approve of the way Heard has been treated.

Whether or not you believe Amber Heard was abused by Johnny Depp (and… no comment for those who don’t), any decent human being can see that what’s happened to her for speaking out is disgusting.

In addition to completely losing her career in Hollywood while Depp is still bizarrely being hired to do, well, anything, she’s also been bombarded by abuse online by rabid Depp fans who have encouraged her to kill herself and even threatened to harm her or her daughter.

Needless to say, Snyder’s not a fan of this behavior.

Zack Snyder is perplexed by why everyone is anti-Amber Heard.

After all, no one truly knows what went on behind closed doors besides the two people involved. There’s also the fact that from the sounds of things, Heard was always a total professional, whereas Depp would show up drunk and/or high hours late and need an earpiece to feed him his lines because he never bothered to memorize them.

For that reason among others, Snyder would love to reunite with Heard on another project.

“I just don’t get it,” he told THR. “If other people don’t like her, I don’t know what to say. I would work with her in a second.”

It remains to be seen whether or not Amber Heard will ever return to Hollywood.

She has been working on various independent projects, but she’s also removed herself entirely from the scene and is happily living in Spain.
