Kevin Federline Calls Reports Britney Spears Is On Meth ‘Repulsive’ And ‘False’

Both Britney Spears and her ex-husband Kevin Federline are speaking out against reports that Spears is using drugs. Over the weekend, The Daily Mail claimed that one of its reporters spoke to 45-year-old Federline and that he claimed he believed the “Toxic” singer is on meth. However, he claims he never said that, and Spears herself is fuming at the story.

“I fear she’s on meth — I’ve been praying someone would make it public and that she wakes up. … It’s terrifying. She is the mother of my boys,” writer Daphne Barak claimed Federline told her.

However, Federline later took to his Instagram Stories to insist that he never said the comments, calling the statement “false” and “repulsive.”

“[The] lies and attempts to exploit minors is clickbait and another repulsive example of where, unfortunately, certain journalism has sunk these days,” he added. He said that the story not only upsets him but the two sons he and Spears share, 17-year-old Sean Preston and 16-year-old Jayden James.

As for Spears, she also took to Instagram to hit back at the story, which also contained a quote allegedly from her son Preston which said, “All we want is for her to listen to us. I hope she will – before it’s too late.”

Writing on her Instagram, Britney Spears dismissed reports that she’s on meth as hurtful lies and said she hoped the quotes attributed to Kevin and her son are nothing more than fake news.

“The fact that people are claiming things that are not true is so sad … This may not even be them saying such things because it doesn’t make any sense to me for them to be saying that,” she wrote. “… It makes me sad because I tried so hard to make things nice for you and it was never good enough. So you guys go behind my back and talk about me … it breaks my heart and the news is so low.”

“Hopefully it is just the news being hateful and Kevin nor Preston said any of those things.”

You know, it’s really sad to see that while Britney Spears was under her conservatorship, everyone was campaigning for her to be “free” so she could live her best life. Now that she’s unleashed those shackles, it seems the press has taken it as a cue to resume its relentless pursuit of ruining what’s left of her career and personal life. That truly is repulsive.
