There’s no shortage of pre-mixed boozy drinks out there to enjoy this summer, but if you fancy yourself something of a mixologist, you might like to whip up your own concoctions in the kitchen, which means you need to keep your alcohol cabinet stocked. One addition you definitely need is the new Malibu Rum Watermelon flavor that will seriously take all your summer cocktails to the next level and make you feel like you’re lounging on a tropical island somewhere far, far away.

- Rum-based drinks are the best. All alcohol is A+ in my book, but there’s something about rum-based drinks that I really love. Maybe it’s because when I do actually go on vacation, I tend to drink a lot of them, particularly daiquiris. Classic strawberry daiquiris are super good, but imagine switching that flavor over to watermelon? Whoo boy, I’m getting thirsty just thinking about it.
- This packs a nice alcoholic punch. Malibu Rum Watermelon combines their classic coconut rum with watermelon flavors, which is delicious enough on its own. Knowing that it also packs a 21% ABV just makes me want it even more. I’m not saying I want to be fall-down drunk every time I enjoy a cocktail, but it is nice to feel just a little tipsy sometimes, right?

- It’s unclear if this is a limited-edition flavor or a permanent fixture. Malibu hasn’t told us whether their watermelon rum will be ripped away from us after summer’s over or if this is a permanent, year-round offering. However, it is available now wherever alcohol is sold, so keep your eyes peeled!
