Man ‘Forced Pregnant Girlfriend Into Car And Burned Her Alive For Refusing To Have An Abortion’

A 24-year-old Brazilian woman was allegedly burned alive in a car after she was tied up and forced into the vehicle by the married father of her child and his wife, among several others in a group, The Sun reports. Ellen Priscila Ferreira da Silva was said to be four months pregnant at the time of her death. A man named Ely Carlos dos Santos, 39, was also killed in the attack in Sao Paulo.

  1. Four people have been arrested for the crime. Investigator Paulo de Tarso described the murder as “premeditated” and “very cruel” and revealed that three men and a woman had been arrested for the horrific crime. Both the 19-year-old man and a 36-year-old woman made a full confession. It got even worse than that, with de Tarso saying, “One of the suspects even personally comforted the victim’s mother after her death was confirmed.”
  2. The motive is still under discussion, but the unborn child played a major role. While it’s possible that the victims may have been in debt to a drug dealer, a more popular theory is that Ellen’s refusal to abort the child she conceived with the married suspect, which his wife, also involved in the murder, knew about. “Ellen was pregnant with the man who killed her. He is married, but had a relationship with Ellen,” de Tarso explained. “The suspect’s wife was also pregnant. They both wanted Ellen to take the child away, but she did not accept it.”
  3. The prime suspect is believed to be a 38-year-old man. That man is said to be the father of the unborn child and he initially tried to trick police by claiming that he’d nearly been a victim of the attack himself and that he only survived because he’d pretended to be unconscious. He later admitted that the injuries he sustained were self-inflicted while he was under the influence of drugs.
  4. Hopefully everyone involved will face serious charges. It’s unclear what will happen to all of the suspects, but hopefully they will receive swift justice for the pain they inflicted on Ellen’s family for taking her young life away.
